Client Briefing involved place visioning and the recording of stories and an exploration of place qualities using a deck of cards developed by PlaceSense. The form of the post and beam dwelling took advantage of the slope, expansive views and breezes with a stepped floor plan. Sun hoods and verandahs controlled the solar heat gain to the NE facing picture windows. The proposed carport and plant room are cut into the site at the front to minimise earthworks and site works for driveways and retaining walls and visual scarring of the sloped site. |
