MIC Early Learning Centre

Inspired by the Asian Long House and the Queenslander, the ELC uses level changes to provide a module of three learning environments serviced by a shared staff area, observation booth and shaded play decks under the building.

The module is repeated three times, offering the opportunity for staged development and the provision of a covered colonnade to the Administration building. Under croft play areas and upper decks are screened providing secure spaces for toddlers and added bushfire protection from embers.
